What can I expect during my first Pilates or Redcord session? At your first Pilates or Redcord class, you may feel like there is a lot to learn! You’ll learn about the Reformer as the instructor leads you through various exercise. Most students do just fine during their first class. If you feel like you need extra attention, please contact the studio to schedule a few introductory Private sessions.

I am not sure if I need to take Privates before classes. How can I tell?If you are not sure if you are ready for classes, then you can schedule either an introductory Private session or a 20 minute evaluation to help you decide. Class students are expected to be able to keep up with the class flow and adjust their own Reformer springs & accessories. Clients with injuries are not always a good fit for group classes as Jehona wants to make sure the exercises are tailored to your needs.

What is the differece between Pilates and Redcord?Answer...
-
What if I have an injury? One of the most amazing things about Pilates is that it can be done by almost anyone, even those with injuries. That being said, some clients will find that an injury can make it difficult to keep up with a class and private training is a more ideal scenario. A good rule of thumb is that clients with any sort of injury should have a quick chat with Jehona before signing up for a class. She can help the client understand how their injury might impact their class experience.

I am pregnant. Is Pilates an appropiate exercise program for me?With modifications, Pilates can be an excellent exercise program for pregnant women. If you have the OK from your doctor, you can do Pilates while you are pregnant. If you are interested in doing Pilates classes during your pregnancy, please contact Jehona for further information. Pregnant clients who are new to Pilates need to do at least two private sessions before participating in group classes.

What if a class is full?If a class is full, you can use the waitlist to stand in line for a spot. If someone cancels, then you’ll receive an email confirming your reservation. Please note that the waitlist closes 12 hours before class begins. At that point, the waitlist is and any last minute openings are offered on a first come, first serve basis.

What if I have been doing Megaformer? The Megaformer is similar, yet very different to the Pilates Reformer. Both machines offer a full body workout. Clients who have Megaformer experience will find it easy to drop into a Pilates class and keep up. Many (but not all) clients with Megaformer experience prefer Level 2 classes.
